Bracelet with PRECIOSA Farfalle™

Give the PRECIOSA Farfalle™, seed beads manufactured under the PRECIOSA Traditional Czech Beads™ brand, the opportunity to stand out from the wide-ranging family of seed bead types and shapes. These Czech seed beads are available in two sizes (2 x 4 mm and 3.2 x 6.5). Initially, they were only produced from four basic glass products - crystal, chalk, alabaster and black glass. The initial range was expanded in 2009 to include colored transparent raw materials such as topaz, amethyst, sapphire, black diamond, chrysolite, aquamarine, jonquille and Siam ruby. The beauty of the transparent glass has been supplemented by means of the application of a wide range of seed bead finishes, for example irises, lustres, rainbows, silver and colored linings, matt finishes, selected vacuum decors and metallic colors, while the Terra Pearl finish is from 2011.

The basis for success when creating this bracelet is the correct choice of the wire. It must be sufficiently strong to be able to withstand the shape of the bracelet, but at the same time it must be relatively malleable. The color combination of the materials is also important for the final effect. In this case, the PRECIOSA Farfalle™ have been chosen in Preciosa Ornela fashion colors for the autumn/winter 2012-2013 period.

Step 1

Prepare the thicker wire to string the larger Farfalle in the size of 3.2 x 6.5 mm. Measure off approximately 2 m and create a loop at one end using thin nosed pliers (fig. no. 1a).

String the Farfalle using the tone in tone color mix system (F1, F2, F3, F1). It is best to alternate this mixture with single-color sections (F4, F5).

End the stringing with a loop as at the beginning. Shape the wire with the seed bead stringing in such a way so that the basic gossamer circle full of meanders is created. Make the internal diameter according to your needs (fig. no. 1b).

Step 2

Take the thinner wire to string the smaller Farfalle (321 90 001; 2 x 4 mm). Proceed in the same way as when stringing the larger Farfalle. Form a loop at both ends of the strung wire. By shaping this stringing, you will create a space between the meanders from the stringing of the larger Farfalle and at the same you will be able to strengthen the entire shape so that the finished bracelet can be relatively easily worn.

Start and finish the intertwining of this second wire on the opposite side of the ends of the first wire. Connect all four end loops at a suitable place on the stringing so that it cannot become disentangled and loose (fig. 2a).
We wish you a lot of fun with our PRECIOSA Farfalle™!
