A 0.20 mm nylon line; a needle; scissors; round elastic in the appropriate colour shade (diameter: 1 mm); tailor's thread

Procedure

Step 1

Mix the K at a ratio of 1:1. Divide them into two piles of 100 seed beads.

Step 2

Cut off 160 cm of the nylon line. Secure an R as a stop seed bead about 10 cm from the end. Thread the line through the R twice.

Step 3

String one pile of K onto one half of the line. String 2x R between each K.

Step 4

Thread the remainder of the line through the second holes in the K. Thread it through about 10 seed beads. Tighten the K. Create the spiral. Secure the K in the same way as with the initial R stop seed bead. Continue to the end of the line in the same way. Tie off the ends of the line with three knots. Pull them into the K and R. Cut off the line.

Step 5

String the centre of the new line to the outer K of the already strung section. The same length as in Step 2. Repeat Step 3.

Step 6

Continue in the same way as in Step 4. String 2x R at the end. Straighten the spiral. Connect it with the second end of the first section. Thread the line through both holes in the K (rocaille to rocaille). Tie off the line with three knots. Pull them into the K and R. Cut off the line.

Step 7

Cut off about 15 cm of tailor's thread. Thread it through the eye of the needle. Tie off the end. This will create a large loop.

Step 8

Thread 40 cm of the elastic through the large loop. Fold it in half. Thread it through the internal section of the sewn spiral. Thread the ends of the elastic through the fold in the elastic. Tie a knot (create a loop and thread the end of the elastic through it). Cut off the large thread loop.
