Material and Tools

Materials

A 16 mm sieve with 8 holes around its circumference; a 18-20 mm diameter round brooch base

Tools

A 0.20 mm nylon line; a thin needle; scissors; hot melt glue with a glue gun

Procedure

Step 1

The petal sepal

String 3x R onto a 1m long line. Tie off the line. Let the R swing slightly (the knot could block the hole of the R), (fig. no. 1).

1

Step 2

Thread the line through one of the tied R. String 9x R. Use the right-angle weave stitch to sew the projection. After connecting 4x R at the beginning, leave about 2-3 mm of free line. Tighten when sewing. Add 1x R and connect another 4x R. At the end, add 1x R and thread the line through the next 1x R from Step 1 (fig. no. 2a). Create the next two protections. Be careful when threading the line through the last R from Step 1. The knot will get in the way (fig. no. 2b).

2 / a

Step 3

Create the 1st row using the peyote stitch. Thread the line through the lower R on the projection (fig. no. 3a). Add 1x R to each gap around the circumference of the projection. Add 1x R to the sides at the end of the projection and connect 1x R in the middle. Sew around all the projections (fig. no. 3b).

3 / a

Step 4

Create the 2nd row using the peyote stitch. Thread the line through the lower R on the projection (fig. no. 4a). Add 1x R to the gaps along the circumference and at the top. Sew around all the projections (fig. no. 4b).

4 / a

Step 5

Create the 3rd row using the peyote stitch. Thread the line through the lower R on the projection (fig no. 5a). Add 1x R to the gaps along the circumference and at the end of the projection. Sew around all the projections (fig. no. 5b).

5 / a

Step 6

Thread the line through the circumference one more time. Sew on 1x R to the lower R in the dimple. Preferably thread the line through the top R using just the line without the needle. Carefully sew it in (fig. no. 6).

6 / a

Step 7

Create the stigma (central rod)

String 3x RG. Thread the line through the central hole of the sepal from the outside and string 5x RG, 1x FPB and 3x R according to the color of the sepal. Thread the line through the FPB and RG and back through the hole in the sepal. Thread the line through the 1st R under the sepal from the opposite direction. String 2x R. There are 5x R under the sepal. Thread the line through them again. This will create a loop. Tie off the ends of the line. Pull the ends into the 2x R on the right and left-hand sides. Cut them off (fig. no. 7a).

7 / a

Step 8

Create petal sepals in other colors.

8

Step 9

The earrings

String 8x R and 2x FPB onto the Creole wire. Alternate stringing the loop on a sepal and 1x FPB. Finish with a sepal loop. Add 2x FPB and 8x R. The number of outer R will depend on the diameter of the Creole. String the second Creole earring.

9 / a

Step 10

Connect the holes on the closing mechanism on the Creole earrings and the loops of the earring hooks using rings.
