Procedure

Step 1

The line.

Cut off about 1 m of line. If the line twists, gently run the needle down it or pull on it. String the R directly on the line.

Step 2

The beginning.

String the 3x R belonging to the upper surface of the beetle and the 4x R from the lower surface of the beetle. Move them to the centre of the line. Pass the end of the line through the 4x R from the lower surface one more time. This will form a ring.

Step 3

The body.

When creating the beetle, alternately string the R from the upper surface (the example) and the R from the lower surface. First create the initial curvature of the body by adding to the number of R in the rows. Thereafter, the number of R will remain the same in several rows. Start reducing the number of R for the end curvature. String the appropriate number of R in the row on one end of the line. Thread the second end of the line through this number from the opposite side.

Gradually connect the 3rd to 7th rows to the lower side. Connect the central 2x R in the newly strung row with the central 2x R from the previous row. First string the necessary number of R on one end of the line. When stringing the second end of the line, connect the central 2x R from the previous row.

Step 4

The legs.

The beetle has 3 pairs. Sew the legs with the body between the 3rd and 4th rows, the 5th and 6th rows and the 7th and 8th rows. After completing stringing the rows in the lower surface, string 3x R. Leave out the outer strung R. Pass the line back through the remaining 2x R. Continue stringing the rows from the upper surface.

Step 5

Finishing.

String both ends of the line into the last row from the upper surface. Pass the line through the last row of the lower surface one more time. Specificly, pass one end of the line through 2x R and the second end of the line through the second 2x R. Tie off both ends of the line with two knots. Pull the ends of the line into several surrounding R (for example, in the penultimate row of the upper surface). Cut off the line.

Step 6

Tie a knot in the middle of the ribbon. Thread the ends of the ribbon through the initial ring of R, the beetle's cavity and the end ring made of R. Tie a knot behind the neck. You can also adjust the length of the ribbon at the same time.
