Procedure

Step 1

String the PB1 onto the pin. Bend the free end of the pin or create a small loop. Secure the wire so that it does not fall out.

Step 2

Make the legs

Start near the twisted end and add the legs in the direction towards the PB1. Cut off about 60 cm of the thin binding wire. Twist the end of the wire around the pin. String 1x R10 and 12x R8. Only thread the wire through the last R8 once. Thread the wire through the other 11x R8 and the 1x R10 one more time. Tighten the wire. Twist it around the pin once. Make the next five legs in the same way.

Step 3

Snip off the twisted end of the pin. String the PB2. Push the legs up on the pin. You need about 8 – 10 mm of free pin behind the PB2. Make a loop out of it. Twist the wire around the round point.

Step 4

Turn the spider on its back. Now complete the 7th and 8th legs. String 1x R10 and 12x R8. Only thread the wire through the last R8 once. Thread the wire through the other 11x R8 and 1x R10 one more time. Tighten the wire. Do not twist it around the pin. Make the last leg in the same way. Now twist both ends of the wire around the pin several times. Tighten and snip off.

Step 5

Create the eyes

Thread the line through the created loop. String 1x R8 on both ends of the line. Return one end of the line to the created loop. Tie off both ends of the line. Carefully thread both ends of the line through the R8. Cut it off. Make sure that the knots do not come undone.

Step 6

Shape the legs

You can use bugles to make the legs. Three bugles per leg. String 1x R8 between each bugle. The legs will be longer, so snip off a longer piece of binding wire.

6

Step 7

If you use an eye pin to create the spider, you can hang it, for example, from a chain. Link the eye on the pin with the chain using a ring. Attach the other end of the chain to a carabiner.

7

Step 8

Use the thick binding wire to string the pressed beads for spiders with a large body. Create a double loop at its ends. You can use drops to highlight the eyes and joints on the legs.
