Calendar 2023

2023 is borne on a wave of colors. Take a look at the Preciosa Ornela Calendar for this year. 

The 12 photographs depict the contrast between the elegant seed bead designs and the industrial areas at the Preciosa Ornela glass production facilities.

The contrast between the fragile handwork and the technically demanding glass production. Take a look at the beads and seed beads from the PRECIOSA Traditional Czech Beads™ brand in all their glory.

The individual designs are not only the work of Preciosa Ornela’s designers Helena Chmelíková or Alexandra Lysenko (known as SnowMirna), who are already well-known to you, but also of the Atlas Bijoux costume jewelry company, whose specialities include embroidered seed bead handbags.

Our close cooperation with the Applied Arts Secondary School in Jablonec nad Nisou means that we also have the honour of presenting three designs prepared by students in the 4th year of the school’s Costume Jewellery and Fashion Accessory Design course in our calendar.

The first picture in the 2023 Preciosa Ornela Calendar will capture your attention with these luxurious epaulettes by Ludmila Těmínová, a student at the Applied Arts Secondary School in Jablonec nad Nisou.

This icy, silver design is dominated by richly adorned shoulder pads made using selected beads from the PRECIOSA Traditional Czech Beads™ brand. The frosty appearance of the PRECIOSA Hill™ and the Labrador silver finish on the PRECIOSA Villa™ beads have also been excellently supplemented with fire polished beads and smaller seed beads in winter tones.

Eliška Novotná, a student at the Applied Arts Secondary School in Jablonec nad Nisou, has managed to transform the distinctive combination of red and black into a highly attractive costume jewelry design.
 

The flawless working of the 3D appliqué on a handstitched belt and earrings has been further enhanced by the excellent selection of beads and seed beads. The reflections from the facets on the three-cuts and fire polished beads give the entire design a festive appearance.

The latest PRECIOSA PermaLux collection simply had to feature in our 2023 calendar. The Atlas Bijoux costume jewelry studio has opulently incorporated a wide selection of the shades from this new surface finish into the design of its crocheted handbag.

The luxuriousness of the ladies’ clutch also corresponds with the choice of interior. The rainbow colored curtain behind the model consists of a total of one hundred and twenty strands strung with cut glass tubes made by Preciosa Ornela and it forms part of the interior fittings in the Preciosa directorate’s representative meeting room in Jablonec nad Nisou.

This exceptional and trendy design for April’s page of the calendar is the work of Ema Polomská, a student at the Applied Arts Secondary School in Jablonec nad Nisou, who has cleverly combined several ladies’ accessories into one; namely a fanny pack, designer braces and a belt. 

The selection of luxurious finishes on the fire polished beads and seed beads from the PRECIOSA Traditional Czech Beads™ range flawlessly underlines the design as a whole.

The final product has returned to the place of its creation. Czech Rocailles with the PRECIOSA PermaLux surface finish, the latest product that we have launched into the world to introduce sparkle to a wide range of professional designs and creative pieces made by our fans, are produced at the Preciosa Ornela glassworks in Desná.

The inventive design of the crocheted seed bead handbag and the appliqués on the ladies’ shoes are the work of the Atlas Bijoux costume jewelry studio.
