8 – 9 mm end caps for the cords (a loop, screw); 5 mm rings; metal crimp beads (CB); a carabiner; an adjusting chain

Tools

A 0.20 mm nylon line; a thin needle; scissors; a 10 mm diammeter cord (silver); a regular 0.38 mm wire; a sewing thread and needle; flat nose pliers (rings and CB); a screwdriver (depending on the type of screw); a ruler

Procedure

Step 1

String 4x T. Tie them off. Thread the line through both holes of the T next to the knot.

Step 2

String 1x R, 1x T and 1x R into each gap. Thread the line through the second holes of the T from Step 1. At the end, thread the line through 1x R and 1x T. Also thread the line through the second hole of the T.

String 1x C into each gap. Thread the line through the second holes of the T from Step 2. Thread the line through the second hole in the C.

Step 4

String 1x T into each gap. Thread the line through the second hole in the T from Step 3.

Step 5

String 1x R, 1x T and 1x R into each gap. Thread the line through the second holes in the T from Step 4. At the end, thread the line through 1x R and 1x T. Also thread the line through the second hole in the T.

Step 6

Thread the line through the second holes of all the protruding T and connect them. Thread the line through several T and sew it in between the C.

You need 5 sewn balls.

Step 8

The overall length of the necklace is about 48 cm. The cords have to be 12 cm long. First, twist the sewing thread around the cord. Sew it in several times. Cut off the cord. Measure the length. Twist, sew in and cut off the other end.

Step 9

Loosen the screws on the end caps. Fit them onto the cord. Tighten the screws. Position the screws in both end caps in the same way.

Step 10

Create a loop on the wire. String 1x CB and 6x R. Thread the end of the wire through the CB. Tighten. Crimp the CB. String 1x FPB, 1x CB and 1x R. Crimp the CB. Hide the end of the wire among the sewn balls.

Alternately string 1x FPB and 1x sewn ball. String 2x R between each of them.

Step 12

String 1x R and 1x CB between the last sewn ball and the FPB. String a second loop with 1x CB and 6x R. Return the end of the wire to both CB. Tighten and then crimp the CB. Shorten the end of the wire.

Step 13

Assembly. Use rings to connect the cords to the central section. Attach a carabiner and a 16 cm adjusting chain to the opposite ends.
