A 0.25 mm nylon line; a thin needle; scissors; needle-nose pliers (or pliers with a rounded point + snipping pliers); a ruler

Procedure

Step 1

String 5x R8 onto an eye pin. Grip the end of the protruding part of the wire between the round ends of the pliers. Twist the wire around the point using the pliers. Gently twist the wire around the edge of the hole of the last R8 so that the eye is centrally located above the R8 hole.

Link 11 made from R1, 11 made from R2 and 10 made from R3.

Step 3

Link the arches with the quills
The color placement of the quills is up to you. A 30 mm long eye pin is ideal for an arch with seven quills.

In the case of the other arches, you will have to shorten the protruding wire to 8-10 mm according to the size of the round ends of your pliers. String 1x R8 at the edge of the eye pin on all the arches. Then string the appropriate number of quills with 1x R8 between each of them. After stringing the quills onto the eye pin, add 1 more R8. Create an eye. Twist the eyes at both ends in the same direction. Tighten the strung eye pin so that the eyes are vertical. You can subsequently adjust the eyes.

Create 2 arches with 7 quills, 1 arch with 6 quills, 1 arch with 5 quills, 1 arch with 4 quills and 1 arch with 3 quills.

The arch with the eyes
String 1x R1, 1x R6, 3x R1, 1x R6 and 1x R1 onto an eye pin. Create the eyes on the eye pin. Twist both eyes so they are facing the same way. Bend the arch.

String 5x R1 onto an eye pin. Create the eyes and twist them.

Connecting the eyes on the arches
Thread 70 cm of the line into the eye of the needle. Pay attention to how the eyes on the eye pins are twisted (either all twisted upwards or all twisted downwards).

String an eye of the leading arch, 1x R4, an eye on the arch with the eyes and 1x R4.

Continue stringing the eyes on the arches with the quills. String the two arches with 7 quills, then the one with 6 quills, the one with 5 quills, the one with 4 quills and the one with 3 quills. String 1x R4 between each of them.

String 5x R4.

Now gradually string the other eyes of the arches and add 1x R4 between them. The arches may be hidden among the many quills. Don't miss any!

After stringing the eye on the front arch, string 4x R4 and 1x R6.

Pass the line through the last strung R4 once again.

String 3x R4.

Tie knots and then tighten the stringing. Pass the line through the created oval with the nose once again. Tie off the ends of the lines one more time. Pull the ends of the lines into several R4 and cut them off.
