Simple earrings made from PRECIOSA Chilli™

You can use this tutorial to create very simple, quick and, thanks to the chosen color pallet, distinctive earrings from PRECIOSA Chilli™ Pressed Beads and PRECIOSA Rocailles. The mood of the earrings can be changed using the wide-ranging color pallet which you have available.

A 0.20 mm nylon line; a thin needle; scissors; needle-nose pliers; snipping pliers

Materials

30 mm eye pins; a 16 mm pin; a delicate chain; earring hooks

Procedure

Step 1

String 6x R, the eye of an earring hook and another 6x R onto an eye pin. Shorten the protruding section to about 8 mm (fig. no. 1a). Make an eye which twists in the same direction as the one on the other side. Also try to make them look the same (fig. no. 1b). Grip the wire between the points of the pliers and twist it around the points. Gently bend the wire around the R, so that the eye is located centrally above them. Carefully bend the created hanger.

Step 2

Cut a piece of chain at a length of 1 – 1.2 cm (fig. no. 2a). Put an FPB on a pin (fig. no. 2b). Make an eye. Hang the outer link of the chain on it and close up the eye (fig. no. 2c).

Step 3

String 5x Ch through the outer hole from the dimple. String an eye of the hanger. Check the location of the hanger (the arch above the centre of the earring). String the second hole of all 5 Ch (fig. nos. 3a + 3b). String 1x R, the outer link of the chain and 1x R. String the second hole on the 5 new Ch from the dimple. String the second hole of the hanger. Thread the line through the second hole of the 5 Ch. Tie off the ends of the line and pull them into the holes. You can gently bend the earrings in the area of the Ch (fig. nos. 3c + 3d).
