Linked necklace with pendants

We present a project for an effective linked necklace made using a combination of PRECIOSA Fire Polished Beads and pendants made of PRECIOSA Three-Cut Beads in tones of pomegranate juice. You can also choose other shades of glass, as both types of beads are available in the same colors and finishes.

Tools

30 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm and 15 mm eye pins (0.7-0.8 mm, preferably 0.7 mm); 16 mm pins; 5 mm rings; a carabiner; needle nose pliers; flat nose pliers

Step 1

The almonds (the shape made from TC)

Prepare 2x 30 mm eye pins. String the eye of the second on the first. Continue by stringing 10x TC. Gently bend the wire.

Step 2

Make an eye. Shorten the protruding wire to about 8 mm. Grasp it between the points of the needle nose pliers. Twist the wire around the point. Gently bend it behind the edge of the TC. The eye will be central above the TC. Twist it using the flat nose pliers just like at the opposite end of the wire.

Step 3

String 10x TC at the other other end of the eye pin. Thread it through the eye of the first eye pin. Adjust the shape of both eye pins.

Step 4

Make an eye. Twist it in the same way as at the other end.

Step 5

Prepare 2x 40mm eye pins. Thread one through the eye from the previous step. String about 13x TC. Shape the wire.

Step 6

Thread the second eye pin through the second eye from the previous step.

Step 7

Thread the eye pin with 13 TC into the eye. Thread the eye pin with 13x into the eye. Thread it through the protruding eye.

Step 8

Create an eye on both eye pins. Watch the twisting of the eyes on all the eye pins.

Step 9

Prepare 2x 50mm eye pins. Thread one through the eye from the previous step. String about 18x TC. Shape the wire.

Step 10

Thread the second eye pin through the second eye from the previous step.

Step 11

Thread the eye pin with the 18 TC into the eye. Thread the eye pin with 18x into the eye. Thread it through the protruding eye.

Step 12

Make an eye on both eye pins. Watch the twisting of the eyes on all the eye pins.

Step 13

The almonds on the necklace

Create a total of 14 almonds.

Step 14

Straighten out the linked eyes on two of the almonds. Use them in the middle of the necklace.

Step 15

Link the almonds together in twos with a ring. A total of 7x.

Step 16

The fire polished beads on the necklace

Link 17x 1 FPB5. Twist the eyes in the same direction.

Step 17

Connect 2 linked FPB5 four times.

Step 18

Connect 3x FPB5 with a ring. In the middle.

Step 19

Connect the 6 linked FPB5 with rings. This will create an adjusting chain.

Step 20

Link 8x 1 FPB8 on eye pins.

Step 21

Hang the linked FPB8 on the almond eye.

Step 22

Connect the FPB8 to the adjusting chain with a ring.

Step 23

Link the two chains made of 15x FPB5. Link them one after the other. String the eye of the new pin before fully closing the eye.

Step 24

Assembling the necklace

Start the assembly from the centre. Connect the central FPB5 and the almonds.

Step 25

Connect the eyes of the almonds and the surrounding FPB5. Do this 3x from the centre on both sides.

Step 26

Connect the linked chains in the rings on the last outer almonds.

Step 27

Attach the carabiner and the adjusting chain to the outer eyes using rings.

The earrings

Create two almonds. Hang a FPB8 in the outer eye. Attach an earring hook on the opposite side.
