Star made from Preciosa bugles and rocailles

Create a shiny seed bead star made from Czech glass seed beads by Preciosa.

Material and Tools

Tools

Snipping and needle-nosed pliers, a 0.35 mm wire

Procedure

Step 1

Cut off 50 cm of wire for a small star and 55 cm for a big one.

Start creating the small star. String 12x rocailles onto 50 cm of wire (fig. no. 1).

Step 2

Join the rocailles into a circle. Twist the wire 3x so that one end of the wire measures 5 cm. You will then continue stringing on the other, longer end (fig. no. 2).

Step 3

String 2x short bugles onto the longer end of the wire and thread the wire under the wire in the central circle behind 2x rocailles. Repeat the procedure and continue all the way around (fig. no. 3).

Step 4

Twist both ends of the wire together and snip them off (fig. no. 4).

Step 5

Add a large star to the small star. Take 55 cm of wire and thread it under the wire from the central circle, leaving 5 cm free at the end. String 2x long bugles onto the longer end and thread the wire under the wire behind 2x rocailles. Repeat the procedure all the way around (fig. no. 5).

Step 6

Twist both ends together and snip them off. That's all there is to it (fig. no. 6).
