Procedure

Step 1

String the beads and seed beads onto the individual wires in this order: 1x R10 – 1x R8 – 1x FPB3 – 1x R10 – 1x FPB4 – 1x R10 – 1x FPB2 – 1x R10 – 1x FPB4 – 1x R10 – 1x FPB1 – 1x R10 – 1x FPB4 – 1x R10 – 1x P.

Close the wire with a silicon stopper so that the beads and seed beads do not fall off  the wire which you are not currently working on (fig. no. 1).

Step 2

Cut off ca 1 m of wire. Make a few twists on one of the snowflake‘s arms at the FPB3. Then string the seed beads on the wire in the following order: 3x silver R10 – 4x gold R8 (fig. no. 2a), Thread back through the first five R8 rocailles and a pull it in; you will have a large flower or a cross (fig. nos. 2b - 2c). String the wire again with 3x R10 and make two twists around the next arm of the snowflake (fig. no. 2d). Repeat this step all the way around until you return to where you started. Twist the ends of the wires together and snip off the remainder of the wire (fig. nos. 2e - 2f).

Step 3

Cut off another piece of wire at a length of ca 1 m. Make a few twists on one of the snowflake‘s arms at the FPB1 (fig. no. 3a). Then string rocailles onto the wire in the following order: 5x silver R10 – 4x gold R10. Thread the wire back through the first gold R10 rocaille and pull it in; you now have a small flower (fig. nos. 3b - 3c). Repeat the procedure twice. Then string 5x silver R10 and thread the wire back through the top seed beads of the flower of the lower row of seed beads. Make the other flowers in the same way and make two twists around the next arm of the snowflake. Repeat this step all around until you reach the place where you started. Twist the ends of the wires together and snip off the remainder (fig. no. 3d).
